iOS 26.4 Introduces 9 Exciting New Emoji for Your iPhone – MacRumors

On July 17, in honor of World Emoji Day, the Unicode Consortium revealed a preview of the upcoming emoji set for Unicode 17.0. Among the new additions are diverse and creative options, such as a trombone, treasure chest, distorted face, hairy creature (representing Bigfoot or Sasquatch), fight cloud, apple core, orca, ballet dancers, and landslide. The distorted face emoji, which is essentially a variation of the embarrassed or flushed face emoji, has gained popularity on Discord servers.

Unicode 17.0 is set to be released later this year. However, it often takes Apple several months to adapt these emoji styles for their devices. As a result, users can anticipate these new emojis becoming available on Apple devices, such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, with iOS 26.4 and its corresponding updates projected for March or April.

Apple recently introduced new emoji in the iPhone update iOS 18.4, released in late March. Previous updates, including iOS 17.4, iOS 16.4, and iOS 15.4, also added fresh emoji, highlighting a predictable timeline for users. Additionally, the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are generating buzz just two months before their anticipated launch.

Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro will feature an aluminum frame, distinguishing it from the titanium frames used in earlier models. Furthermore, Apple introduced AppleCare One, a new subscription plan allowing customers to cover multiple devices for a starting price of $19.99 per month. This plan includes benefits of AppleCare+, such as unlimited repairs for accidental damages.

Recently, Apple released the fourth beta of iOS 26, which features changes to the Liquid Glass design, enhancing its appearance across the operating system while also implementing new features such as Apple Intelligence Notification Summaries.
