I recently purchased an Honor Pad X8a tablet, and I’m having trouble connecting it to my iPhone 16 Pro’s hotspot. Although my iPhone indicates that there is a connection, the tablet continuously displays “obtaining IP address” before ultimately failing to connect.
I’ve attempted several troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. First, I reset both the iPhone and the tablet’s settings, thinking that might clear any glitches.
Additionally, I switched the hotspot option to “maximize compatibility,” hoping that this would facilitate a successful connection. Unfortunately, none of these actions have yielded any positive results.
To provide some context, the tablet successfully connects to my home Wi-Fi. However, because I’m often on the go, it’s essential for me to have the ability to connect to my iPhone’s hotspot.
I’ve gone through various settings on both devices, but I still can’t determine where things are going wrong. If anyone has experienced a similar problem or has suggestions on what else I can try, I would greatly appreciate your input.
It’s frustrating to have a device that I can’t utilize fully when I need it the most. Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
