Apple has introduced refurbished Mac Studio models equipped with the M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips in its online certified refurbished store. This release marks the first time these models have been available as refurbished since their launch in March.
The refurbished units are now accessible in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and various European countries. Typically, Apple’s refurbished Macs are offered at around a 15% discount compared to their brand-new counterparts available on the Apple store.
Given that Apple’s refurbished inventory regularly changes, interested buyers should check back frequently to find specific configurations. In the U.S., refurbished M4 Max configurations begin at $1,699, reduced from the original price of $1,999.
Meanwhile, refurbished M3 Ultra configurations start at $3,399, down from $3,999. It’s noteworthy that as of now, Apple has not released any refurbished MacBook Air models featuring the M4 chip.
One distinction of refurbished Mac Studio models is that they are shipped in a plain box. Other than this packaging difference, Apple assures that its refurbished Macs are nearly identical to new models, offering an excellent opportunity for savings directly from the company.
However, it is worth mentioning that better deals can often be found through resellers. Apple claims that each refurbished Mac undergoes extensive functionality testing alongside a rigorous cleaning and inspection process.
Furthermore, these products come with a one-year limited warranty from Apple and are eligible for extended AppleCare+ coverage.
