I have recently observed how the site’s over-moderation is beginning to resemble that of StackOverflow. My primary reason for visiting this forum has always been to find solutions for bugs or assist others in resolving issues I have encountered. For nearly two decades, this community has offered invaluable support. However, it is disheartening to see effective solutions removed by moderators.
The contributions we make on this platform provide free content that attracts visitors for MacRumors to monetize through advertisements. While I understand that everyone needs to earn a living, it raises questions about the value of our unpaid efforts when our work is disregarded. It makes me contemplate whether I should simply give up and move on to other avenues. I wonder if there are others who share this sentiment regarding the increasing level of moderation.
It feels like a shift is occurring, and the community we once cherished is changing in ways that may not be for the better. Has anyone else noticed the same trend? Are we witnessing a tightening grip of moderation that stifles valuable contributions? I would love to hear your thoughts or experiences on this matter.
