iOS 18 Mail App Continues Embedding Photos in Emails Instead of Attaching Them

I initially believed that iOS 18 had resolved the issue of embedded photos in email messages, yet I continue to encounter the same problem. Despite selecting the “paper clip” icon to attach photos in the Apple Mail app, the images still appear embedded in the message body when I open my Outlook app on my PC.

The photos do not appear as attachments, which is frustrating. This recurring issue has led me to contemplate switching to Outlook for iOS.

However, I am torn because I genuinely appreciate the clean and sleek design of the Mail app. The aesthetics of the Mail app are appealing, and they contribute to a pleasant user experience.

Nonetheless, the persistent problems with attachments are making me reconsider my options. I need to ensure that my emails function as intended, which means that having images properly attached is essential.

If this issue continues without resolution, I may have no choice but to transition to Outlook for iOS, despite my preference for the Mail app’s look and feel. Ultimately, I must prioritize functionality over design in this case.

If the Mail app cannot accommodate my email needs effectively, I will have to adapt and find a solution that works better for me. It’s a tough decision, but I may have to let go of the aesthetics I enjoy in favor of a more reliable email experience.
