Apple has announced that it has garnered a record-breaking 81 Emmy Award nominations for its shows on Apple TV+. Notable series such as Severance, The Studio, Bad Sisters, Dark Matter, and Presumed Innocent are among the contenders this year. Severance, in particular, stood out in the nominations, receiving 27 nods.
The series is recognized in key categories including Outstanding Drama Series. Adam Scott and Britt Lower received nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Lead Actress, respectively. Additionally, the cast includes nominations for notable performances by Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, Jane Alexander, Gwendoline Christie, and Merritt Wever.
The Studio, featuring Seth Rogen, also made a significant impact with 23 nominations. This includes recognition for Outstanding Comedy Series as well as nominations for Seth Rogen for Outstanding Lead Actor and for Ike Barinholtz and Kathryn Hahn as Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively. Catherine O’Hara also secured a nomination in the Supporting Actress category.
Other Apple TV+ shows that earned Emmy nominations include Slow Horses, Shrinking, Presumed Innocent, The Gorge, Bad Sisters, Dope Thief, Disclaimer, Pachinko, Your Friends & Neighbors, Dark Matter, Deaf President Now!, and Bono: Stories of Surrender. Apple claimed the highest number of acting nominations among networks and studios this year, totaling 31. This remarkable achievement underscores Apple’s commitment to producing high-quality content.
